As the new year approaches, rather than writing up a list of New Year resolutions I plan on breaking in March anyways, I decided that this year I’ll write a list of things I anticipate or wish to see in this coming year in the web industry.

Here are my 5 predictions in no particular order.

1.  Fully functional Ajax CMS with fully supported Ajax administrative tools.

2.   Companies start utilizing social network sites to their advantages through crowd sourcing.

3.  More functional payment/bill payment apps for mobile devices.

4.  Web personalization reaches new levels as social networking API allow better integrations with each other.

5.  More webware and the ability to work on Excel and Word online with Microsoft Office 2010 will make Google Chrome OS a tough contender against Windows 7 in the netbook market.
